Before and After Gallery
An ordinary photograph is transformed into a beautiful portrait!
please be patient as images load...
Grandma's back porch held dear memories, but the only photograph that was taken before it's demolition was this shabby snapshot. The Brown Brush brought Grandma's house back to life, down to the placement and colors of her beloved Azaleas.
This
portrait still brings tears to the eyes of the delighted gentleman for whom it
was commissioned.

Two months away from holding their baby girl, this family now has a lovely reminder of their "Precious Piece of China"
"Bright Eyes"
This cute snapshot captured the rare 'lady killer' Mommy stare. We did away with the brightly colored clothing and dark background for a very powerful final portrait rendered in colored pencil.
Sketches of this brother and sister make an adorable focal point in the living room. These pastel drawings were done in the style of Mom's 1960's baby book cover from snapshots of each child at a year old.
"Lifetime Journey"
One of the highlights of this couple's vacation was a train ride on a historic steam engine. He surprised her with tickets in the presidential car at the rear of the train. The views were spectacular. Even though the shot was taken in the train yard, her relaxed smile made this his favorite photo. He wanted a portrait to capture this day and really honor his wife.
We performed a virtual make over, put her in a sweater to bring out her eyes, revealed her favorite pendant, and brought the scenery into the window for a dramatic and beautiful final portrait.
