Portrait Ideas
Please give me as much information as possible in each field below. This form expresses your vision and guidelines for the final piece, and each aspect will be carefully reviewed in our consultation, included in your customized ‘Contract to Commission’, and referenced throughout the painting process by the artist. The details that you provide here are essential! If you don’t currently have a photograph, but have an idea of what you’d like, please fill out the form and we’ll discuss your options in the consultation.
Subject names/portrait title
1. Tell me about the portrait that you’re envisioning. How many subjects? What type of background?
2. Tell me about the subject(s) in the portrait. Give me an idea of the personality and qualities that we’re trying to capture in each person or pet. Please include any special details or stories that would help me to get a feeling for the person/pet or home. Why is this person or place special to you?
3. Are there special objects such as clothing details/jewelry or special flowers/plants for home portraits that you’d like to include?
4. Tell me about your style, favorite paintings/artist, etc. I have based portrait style on everything from the Old Masters to the cover of a 1960’s baby book.
5. Where will you be hanging your portrait? Please send a description and/or photographs, as well as the overall size restrictions if applicable
